The Communal Land Tenure Bill (CLTB) of 2017 was a draft bill in South Africa that aimed to regulate communal land and provide security of tenure. The bill was intended to address the legacy of land insecurity and inequality that resulted from apartheid. The goals of the bill were to provide the right to use state-owned land for community members; register communal land; establish general plans for communal land; provide comparable redress; establish land rights inquiries; acquire more land for communal use; establish household forums for communities.

The Comprehensive Agricultural Support Programme (CASP) provides financial and technical assistance and supports infrastructure development, market access, and training. It aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve food security.

The CRDP is a cross-cutting and comprehensive rural development programme. It develops through all sector departments and clusters through the Medium Term Strategic Framework (MTSF, 2009-2014) and the Government‟s Programme of Action.
